Confidence boost for Kiwi Harrison

A big confidence boost for Auckland's Lana Harrison ahead of the Junior Women's World Squash Championships starting in Chennai later this month.

Harrison has taken out the under 19 girls' title at the South Island Age Group Championships in Christchurch. The top seed downed New Zealand teammate Megan Craig from Canterbury 3-1 in the final.

However, Canterbury was not to be denied in the under 19 boy's title, with Edward Dromgool winning the final 3-2 against fellow Cantabrian Paul Coll.

However, the family with the most to celebrate this week is the Barnett family from Wellington. Twins Rebecca and Jonathan have taken out the girl's and boy's under 15 titles respectively.

The juniors will now head north to Hamilton for the North Island Age Group Championships which start on Thursday.
